What is Mind Mapping?

A Mind Map® is a powerful graphic technique which provides a universal key to unlock the potential of the brain. Developed by Tony Buzan in the late 1960s it harnesses the full range of cortical skills - word, image, number, logic, rhythm, colour and spatial awareness - in a single, uniquely powerful manner. In so doing, it gives you the freedom to roam the infinite expanses of your brain.

You use LESS than 1% of your potential brain power. To unleash the remaining 99% use the Buzan BrainFriendly processes allowing you peak personal and professional productivity, as well as greater enjoyment in your life.

Our Mission

Help everyone become more mentally literate and use their multiple intelligences:

  • Provide training and education in Mind Mapping and other
    Buzan Learning Techniques
  • Products, books and software to help understanding and application
of Mind Maps and these other techniques
  • Support your journey to becoming more mentally literate
  • A support network for people teaching and learning the techniques
  • Work with individuals, companies and educators (i.e. YOU) to train and encourage you becoming mentally literate.

Official Buzan Mind Mapping in South Africa!

In August 2009, for the first time in a long time, official Buzan Mind Mapping Courses were run in South Africa. Buzan South Africa hosted the First Buzan Licensing Programme in South Africa.

Tony Buzan, Jennifer Goddard, Master Trainer and Grenville Payne presented the First Buzan Licensing Programme in South Africa. The Programme consisted of:

Fifteen delegates learnt Foundation Skills, and our congratulations go to the first seven South Africans to successfully complete the Buzan Certified Mind Mapping course (BCMM), and the first five South Africans to successfully complete the Buzan Licensed Instructor (BLI) accreditation course! Both the BCMMs and BLIs will complete their skills development assignments in the next few months and will receive their formal qualification.
